Ensure That You Have Enabled Continuity Camera on Your iPhone

Make sure the Continuity Camera is active on your iPhone. 

  • On your iPhone, go to the Settings app and choose General. 
  • Now, tap on AirPlay & Handoff. Then, turn on the toggle for Continuity Camera.

Once you have set up your device, let’s run through the quick steps!

1. To get going, open the Cisco Webex app on your Mac. 

2. Now, click on your profile at the top right corner of the screen. 

3. Next, select Preferences in the menu.

4. Next up, click on the Video tab at the top of the screen. 

5. Click on the drop-down menu next to FaceTime HD Camera and choose iPhone Camera.

That’s done! Now that your iPhone camera is in action, start or join a meeting. For smooth functioning, make sure to position the iPhone perfectly so that the app can get the most out of the camera.

Customize Continuity Camera Webcam on Mac

If you want to get the most out of Continuity Camera, make sure to customize the settings. Notably, you can fine-tune the Continuity Camera right from the Control Center on your Mac. Just like FaceTime, Webex can also let you use Center Stage and Desk View.

1. To do so, click on the Control Center icon at the upper-right corner of the screen.

2. Now, click on Video Effects.

Next, you get four video effects to choose from:

  • Center Stage: It’s designed to always keep you in the frame.
  • Portrait: It blurs the whole background to put the entire focus on the subject.
  • Studio Light: You can use this video effect to slightly dim the background and brighten up the face.
  • Desk View: What makes this video effect a great asset is the ability to provide a top-down camera view without needing to use any extra equipment.
